The Kid-do Hemi is a specifically developed wheelchair for hemiplegic children. A ONE-Arm drive system (double hoop to the left or right) or a steering handle can be fitted to the basic model. Children with spastic hemiplegia generally tend not to use the affected side. However, we still attempt to exercise the affected arm in a functional manner using a steering handle. If there is contact between the hand and the steering handle, which changes position in line with the direction, then the hand will also move. This ‘forced' movement is actually a sensor-motor function exercise, which may result in an improved function of that side. Furthermore, the symmetrical pattern can be advanced. 
The Kid-do Hemi basic design is identical to the Xperienz. With the contemporary design, the removable back section and the user friendly front wheel changing system (3 or 4 wheel design available). The Kid-do Hemi is accurately tailor-made for your child and grows with your child from that point onwards; the standard design can be easily adjusted to create an extra 8 cm seat width and an additional 8 cm seat depth. This new wheelchair is suitable for use by very young children through to young adults. The maximum sizes are 38 cm (+8 cm) seat width and 46 cm (+8 cm) seat.
